Al Marjan Island is a group of 4 coral-shaped islands in a man-made archipelago located in Ras Al-Khaimah, in the UAE. It is administered by the Al Marjan Island Master Developer. Several resorts, beaches, and other tourist destinations are located in the four islands, is one of the UAE's top tourist spots. The project started in 2013 and the objective was to finish by 2018. At that time the brand was not yet developed and was rather limited to an English logo. We assisted Al Marjan Island to be established as a modern real estate developer. The challenge was to create not only the branding but also to tell the story behind the mega project and the vision. 

When ©Elephant Nation got the project I developed the brand from the Identity to its marketing materials, from the very start until 2018. I started working from a draft English Brandmark that had to be crafted and adapted using an Arabic font. At the same time, the brand needed a modern touch with a strong brand story to be able to compete with other mega-developers in the region. I analyzed the islands shape and location and tried to embed this in the brands architecture. We needed to keep in mind other man-made islands in the UAE to create something unique. We developed market strategies that would support the developer in their communications, to advertise the brand in the UAE and across the world.
